MATHEY-TISSOT INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY

Your Mathey-Tissot watch is guaranteed for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of purchase under the terms and conditions of this warranty.

The warranty can only be claimed if the Mathey-Tissot watch was purchased from an authorized retailer and presented for repairs to a recognized service center.  The official warranty certificate (dated, completed with the reference of the watch and stamped by an authorized Mathey-Tissot dealer) or the purchase invoice (with the date and the reference of the Mathey-Tissot watch) are mandatory in order to claim the repair under warranty.

The international warranty covers material or manufacturing defects existing at the time of the purchase of the Mathey-Tissot watch and mechanical issues.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Any repair if the customer can’t provide an official international warranty or an authorized retailer’s invoice (as described above).
  • The watch battery.
  • Mechanical problem if the watch has suffered from any sort of impact.
  • Any physical damage on any part of the watch (glass, magnifying glass, back case, index, hands, band, etc) that weren’t noticed upon receipt of the watch and due to external influences or resulting from abnormal/abusive use, lack of care, negligence, accidents (impacts, shocks, dents, etc.), natural disasters.
  • Damage caused by incorrect handling or use of the watch.
  • Water damage as the water resistance of watches is rated based on laboratory pressure tests comparable to a swimmer or diver sitting still at that pressure level. However, many water-based activities involve a lot of movement and other environmental changes. These exceptions to how the watch was rated may challenge or defeat the water protection features of a water-resistant watch. Therefore, the water resistance of a watch cannot permanently be guaranteed. It may also be affected by ageing gaskets or by accidental shock to the crown or by not making sure that the crown has been pushed/ screwed down tightly before water contact, steam from showers can also cause water damage.
  • Wear and tear due to normal use and aging of the watch (e.g. alteration of the color and/or material from the case, the band, etc).
  • Theft or loss.
  • Any damage caused by the customer, a retailer, a distributor or a service center non authorized to service a Mathey-Tissot watch.
